Yes - I think there is a Tutorial Tip about using Training Tomes, but I'll have to go look back and see if there is one about Orders/Tasks.

Spreading out a few companions on each task, three on pet wrangling, two on scavenging, etc., and collecting from pirates you aren't necessarily questing on that day can really help the main pirate you are leveling and training pets with. Getting gold, or gear or snacks with so little effort is well worth a few minutes.
