The most ancient and sacred temples in MooShu are protected by mighty guardians, powerful spirits who destroy the unworthy and test the enlightened. This is the Metal Guardian, protector of the Temple of Metal in Maruzame.

The Yak clans of MooShu have built a shadowy syndicate, the Yakooza, which controls MooShu's black market. Many spurn the Yakooza as thugs and criminals, but the Yakooza see themselves as defenders of the common folk, willing to bend or break the rules so that the strong do not oppress the weak. . A Yakooza's rank within the syndicate is plainly visible - the higher they climb, the more dragons are embroidered on their silken cloaks.

The enlightened monks of MooShu seek perfection and enlightenment in both body and spirit. Wan Mo, the Sage of Sujimura, meditates in his ancient shrine. His mastery of hand to hand combat is matched only by his inner serenity.

Some say Zhu Ro was once a pirate, others that the Pig once ran with the dreaded Inoshishi Bandits. Whatever the truth, Zhu Ro now runs a reputable Tea house in Hamamitsu, and is far wealthier than a humble Tea House could make him. Rumor has it Zhu Ro is still very well connected to MooShu's more unsavory elements, and many pirates have been known to visit his Tea House.
